Fun place neat burger combos cool atmosphere must check out. Location parking can be rough depending on when you go but worth it

I hadn't been to Slater's in years; the last time I went was over 8 years ago. It wasn't very memorable honestly. So I came here with an open mind. My friend and I came here on a Thursday night around 6 pm and it wasn't busy in the slightest. There were a few groups eating, but plenty of open seating. We were able to pick where we wanted to sit and chose to sit at the high top tables facing the bar. They have a bunch of TVs surrounding the bar which is great for watching sports. On Thursday's they have $6 pints until 7 pm and you can get any of the beers they have on tap. It appears they have happy hour from 3-6 pm but we were a little too late for that. Our server was wonderful. Sadly I didn't get his name. It appeared he was the only server at the time in addition to the single bartender. We ordered the bacon Mac and cheese balls. It's not something I usually order, but I was so hungry that day and thought it was delicious. The burgers come with your choice of fries or salad. I ordered the Nashville screamin hot chicken sandwich with fries. It was actually pretty tasty. It was lightly battered which I appreciate because many other hot chicken sandwiches can be heavy on the batter. It wasn't necessarily screamin hot though. The fries were basic and I wish they were more crispy but it's okay. My friend got the bison & bacon burger with sweet potato fries. I didn't get to try it but he liked it. I did try the sweet potato fries though and it came with a pumpkin sauce. Very unique but I prefer ranch and ketchup. We both couldn't finish our food so we packaged the rest up to go. After eating our entrees, the server brought us a milkshake in a Santa cup, on the house! It was so sweet and made our day. I'm not sure if they serve exactly that on the menu, but they definitely have several milkshake options on the menu. I would come back here mainly because the server was attentive and the food was decent.

I don't think I've been here in over 10 years but was at Liberty Station and decided to have an early dinner here. I ordered the vampire dip to start and I forgot how much I loved it! The roasted garlic and artichoke flavor together is great. I ordered the hi brow burger with caramelized onions, arugula, bacon jam, and blue cheese. It was delicious! My burger was perfect!

Came at the tail end of brunch because this was the closest spot from the park where the dog event was today. And chicken and waffles is at the top of the list? No bother hostess that's what I'm getting. Only thirteen bucks too. Idk where chicken n waffles originated, here or the South, but it seems like California can only get the waffle half right after I tried it in Florida. The chicken batter is super crispy bordering on burnt and the chicken was dry. It's alright but not the best. The waffle more than saved the day though, it has sugar granules in it that crunch and it was just awesome. They put bacon and an egg on top too. This should've been the remainder of what I ate for the day but it wasn't. I did eat it all in one sitting though. Service was kinda awkward since I came with my dogs, then returned them to my car cuz they were off the wall, then came back for takeout, and spent the rest of the time in my car with my dogs. While all the outdoor patrons who also had dogs barking just sat and stared like their dogs weren't doing the same crap. I wouldn't go back for that reason. Might've just been today cuz of the event.

Calling all vampires (and foodies)! Get ready to sink your teeth into Slater's 50/50 Vampire Dip--a mouthwatering blend of roasted garlic, artichoke hearts, and creamy melted cheese served TABLESIDE . It's so good, it's scary! Whether you pour it over burgers, drizzle it on fries, or smother it on any dish you crave, this dip will elevate your meal to fang-tastic levels! The vibes here are perfect to kick back and watch your favorite sports games on the TVS that surround the place. The burgers here are seriously delicious the best in town!!!!!! If you're into poke... also highly recommended!

Going during October, you have the possible opportunity to have vampire dip, fondue table side. Lucky me I got to try some.! This was very exciting although we had to wait a very long time for our order. The service was good and the staff were very helpful. The drinks were sweet, but strong. I tried their Smashburger, and it was actually very tasty. The french fries were very well seasoned and nice and crispy. The sweet potato fries are very delicious and they are currently coming with a pumpkin dip sauce, which is next level !! And you can't go wrong with the fried pickles, the honey mustard dipping sauce that comes with it is absolutely delicious. They have outside and inside dining areas, and there's plenty of parking. I would recommend eating inside during the fall and winter as it gets a little chilly at liberty station point Loma at night. There's also a giant golden hamburger you can take a picture with at the entrance !

Come here for the burgers, and to watch the game. There is a weekend brunch menu that offers special deals such as $1 mimosas and $7 bloody Mary's! However, the brunch vibes/aesthetic isn't really there. The indoor seating isn't the most comfy, and it's truly a good spot to catch the game on tv and enjoy a burger. Burgers 5/5, though a bit pricy. The burgers come with fries but you can upgrade for sweet potato fries or salad. The hi-brow burger was tasty, had a good balance of sauces and arugula, and a natural burger patty. The siracha burger was not cooked to a temperature because it had bacon mixed into the patty but it was tasty and had a good spice!

The last few times I've been here had to have been well over 10 years ago so I don't recall how my previous tastings were so basically this is like a new experience. Located in Liberty Station there's plenty of lot parking. The space is big with indoor and outdoor seatings. The guy host who seated us had long hair and looked like he was high and just rolled out of bed without showering. I docked a star for the table being dirty with crumbs and utensils were also dirty. I had to ask for the table to either be wiped down or move so we ended up moving instead. Otherwise the service was good. It did take awhile for someone to even come by to take our order but after that everything was fine and the food came out quickly. I was so surprised because usually I don't expect much from American foods. It's either bland or too salty there's really no in between. To my surprise every single dish ordered was delicious. I hardly say that about American foods. We ordered the original 50/50 with onion rings, 50/50 alarm with fries, pork belly grilled cheese with sweet potato fries, and the ballpark tater tots. The burgers were juicy and the spicy alarm burger has that heat you're looking for! We thought it was going to be mild heat but boy after that burger and taking bites of the grilled habanero and jalapeno it's gonna have you crying! Mind you, I'm Lao and my spice tolerance is really high so if I cried, don't do it if you can't handle it. But I loved it! The runny eggs inside the burgers were cooked perfectly. I was shocked my son's pork belly grilled cheese actually paired so good. Usually chili is pretty salty to me but this one was just perfect! The red onions and chili paired so well with the perfectly crisped tots! The onion rings were crisply delicious. The regular fries and sweet potato fries were not my thing.
